This basic type of ribbon ink is more economical and it is used on label applications where the labels useful life cycle is shorter, and where resistance to smearing and smudging, is not required as much. Wax ribbons are primarily used on a paper face-stock and used for shipping, and retail price marking labeling etc.
This ribbon ink formulation has a higher content of resin in it to give it more resistance to scratching, and abrasives, allowing the printed image to better withstand rougher handling, outdoor elements and mild chemical contact. It is commonly used on glossy paper and some synthetic face-stocks. It can be used in various industries such as packaging, pharmaceutical, etc.
This ribbon ink has the highest resin content, and provides superior print image protection, and durability to exposures in the harshest environments, including chemicals, abrasives, extreme temperatures, etc. This ribbon ink is primarily used on durable, synthetic film stocks such as polyester, vinyl, polypropylene, and kimdura etc. It is used for many challenging industrial applications with excessively wet, greasy, and oily conditions, including; automotive, chemical, and manufacturing, industries as well as medical, and pharmaceutical, etc.
